Arrive early, the parking lot fills up fast and street parking is limited.
Check for park closures before you go. Wildfires in the area can close down the park with little notice.
Mount Revelstoke National Park and the Meadows in the Sky Parkway are open seasonally, with a shuttle bus operating during the peak season. The 26 km (16 mile) road is rather narrow with 16 switchbacks. Larger vehicles will not reach the summit parking lot.
While visiting British Columbia, take the family up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway for the views over Mount Revelstoke National Park. It’s an incredible outdoor family weekend adventure. Hike in sub-alpine meadows and take in great views from the summit. Next, head to the 3 Valley Gap for some more fun. The kids will enjoy the chance to explore historic train cars. Also, don’t miss the 3 Valley Gap Heritage Ghost Town. If you want to make it an overnight excursion, spend an evening camping. The Revelstoke Campground offers nice amenities for campers. This easy getaway weekend is one your family will remember for a long time.
