This is a real post office, part of the official network of Finland’s post office or "Posti." Items are for sale to mail home to friends and family. Watch the postal elves opening and sorting the 500,000+ letters that are sent to Santa each year. There is even a bin of pacifiers that have been mailed to Santa from boys and girls around the world. All items sent from here are stamped with a very special Arctic Circle postmark that is not in use anywhere else in the world. Put your letter in a regular mailbox or choose to drop your greetings into the unique Christmas mailbox. Anything dropped into the Christmas mailbox will be delivered to the recipient just before Christmas. Also, fill out a form to have someone receive a special letter from Santa himself. The letter will arrive right before Christmas with a certificate of niceness (if applicable). There are large tables to sit at to fill out your mail, or bring it completed to mail.
DIRECTIONS Located in Santa Claus Village.
TIP We completed our postcards at our hotel room to avoid the crowds that can be at the tables. Mom went back alone to fill out the forms to have letters sent to the kids at Christmastime. Don't forget to send mail to yourself (one for delivery now, and one for next Christmas). We wrote wishes or reminders about the trip to ourselves for the ones to arrive in December.
