Big Sure Café Organico is one of the first craft coffee houses in La Paz. Enjoy many tasty traditional and specialty craft coffee treats, along with a light menu of pastries, sandwiches and salads made from fresh, wholesome ingredients while you are here.
DIRECTIONS From the Malecón (the city's waterfront walkway), go up Calle 16 de Septiembre. Turn right onto Zaragosa Street at the sign for Big Sur Café Organico. Look for the large mural of an indigenous lady on the front wall of the coffee house.

Museo de la Ballena (Whale Museum) offers a great indoor activity, either out of the sun or out of the rain, to learn about the local marine ecosystem and its history. It’s staffed with a few docents to help you during your self-guided tour. You will leave the museum with an expanded knowledge of local marine life.
DIRECTIONS Museo de la Ballena (Whale Museum) is off of the Malecón, near the cross street of Calle 16 de Septiembre.

This is a fun little playground on the Malecón, La Paz’s waterfront walkway. It is a perfect place to eat those messy ice cream cones from the ice cream shop. If you come during the fall or winter, you may catch a beautiful sunset while playing at the playground.
DIRECTIONS The playground is across the street from La Fuente Ice Cream Shop.
